Use the AI asset specs for every experience type except Digital Photo Booth. Use the Digital Photo Booth specs only for Digital Photo Booth backgrounds, frames, stickers, and capture-size artwork.

Specs by experience type

Applies to every experience

These upload rules apply before you get into product-specific artwork.

  • Standard image uploads: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF are accepted up to 10MB.
  • Video uploads: MP4, WebM, and QuickTime MOV are accepted up to 100MB when a field supports video.
  • Transparent artwork: use PNG or WebP when the asset needs transparency, such as overlays, frames, and stickers.
  • Dashboard fields are the source of truth: if an upload field shows a stricter file type or size, follow that field.
  • Templates: if Snapbar sends a working file, confirm it is for the current dashboard before using it. Older template files from the previous system should not be treated as current dashboard specs.

AI Photo Booth specs

Use these specs for AI Photo Booth, AI Stories, and AI Video experiences.

  • Microsite logo: 1 image. Recommended source size, not enforced by the dashboard, is at least 400px wide, with visible artwork kept within about 400px high. JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10MB. Transparent PNG or WebP is best for most logos.
Example of a logo cropped tightly inside the logo canvas
Good logo files are cropped tightly so the selected logo size does not waste space on invisible padding.
Example of a logo with too much transparent padding
Avoid exporting logos with extra transparent padding because the visible mark will render smaller than expected.
  • Microsite background: 1 image or a background color. Recommended design canvas, not enforced by the dashboard, is 1920x1080px. JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10MB. Keep text and logos out of the background art because the screen crops responsively.
Example of clean background artwork without baked-in text
Use clean background artwork that can sit behind booth text and buttons.
Example of busy background artwork with text and logos baked in
Avoid placing key text or logos directly in the background because the booth layout can crop responsively.
  • Hero media: image for most AI experiences. AI Video can use image or video hero media when that field is available. Images use the 10MB image limit; videos use MP4, WebM, or QuickTime MOV up to 100MB.
  • Output overlays: 1 transparent overlay per style when overlays are enabled.
  • Overlay file type: PNG or WebP, up to 10MB.
  • Overlay aspect ratio: match the style output ratio. The dashboard warns when an overlay is more than about 5 percent off the expected output ratio. When Snapbar provides generated preview dimensions, match those dimensions.
  • Overlay size, 3:4 portrait (recommended): 1792x2400.
  • Overlay size, 1:1 square: 2048x2048.
  • Overlay safe area: keep decoration away from faces, bodies, and generated subjects.
Example of an overlay placed around a generated subject
Overlays should frame the output without covering faces, bodies, or the main generated subject.
  • Delivery emails: customize result emails in Delivery. When video output is enabled, Delivery includes video email settings.

Digital Photo Booth

Use these specs for camera or upload-based Digital Photo Booth experiences where guests choose backgrounds, frames, or stickers. Guest choices such as required backgrounds, frame visibility, sticker visibility, and photo upload are configured in the same Experience tab as these assets.

  • Microsite logo: 1 image. Recommended source size, not enforced by the dashboard, is at least 400px wide, with visible artwork kept within about 400px high. JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10MB. Transparent PNG or WebP is best for most logos.
  • Microsite background: 1 image or a background color. Recommended design canvas, not enforced by the dashboard, is 1920x1080px. JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10MB. Keep important text and logos out of the background art because it may crop differently across devices.
  • Sponsor page graphic: upload a standard image file when sponsor page controls are enabled. Use JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF up to 10MB. Keep sponsor art readable on mobile and avoid tiny copy.
  • Backgrounds: upload up to 15 PNG, JPEG, or WebP backgrounds, up to 10MB each. For the default 4:5 capture ratio, create backgrounds at 1638x2048px. If the booth uses another ratio, use the output size reference below.
  • Frames: upload up to 15 transparent PNG or WebP frames, up to 10MB each. For the default 4:5 capture ratio, create frames at 1638x2048px. If the booth uses another ratio, use the output size reference below. Leave clear space for the guest photo.

Frames sit above the guest photo and selected background. Build them on the same canvas size as the final output.
  • Stickers: upload up to 50 transparent PNG or WebP stickers, up to 10MB each. Recommended canvas, not enforced by the dashboard, is 1024x1024px for most stickers; use at least 400x400px for simple artwork as practical guidance. Add contrast, a clean silhouette, or a subtle border so stickers read on light and dark photos.
Example of sticker artwork with contrast around the shape
Stickers read better when they have contrast, a clean silhouette, or a subtle border.
  • Asset names: background, frame, and sticker names can be edited in the dashboard and support up to 100 characters.

Digital Photo Booth output sizes

Use this reference for Digital Photo Booth backgrounds and frames. Match the active capture ratio in the booth setup.

  • Vertical, 9:16: design at 1152x2048.
  • Portrait, 4:5: design at 1638x2048. This is the default capture ratio.
  • Classic Portrait, 3:4: design at 1536x2048.
  • Square, 1:1: design at 2048x2048.
  • Landscape, 16:9: design at 2048x1152.
  • Wide, 1.91:1: design at 2048x1072.
  • Low-memory devices may export at a 1024px long edge, but final artwork should still be prepared at the 2048px long-edge size.

Delivery email customization

Use Delivery to customize the result emails for the experience you are editing.

  • Where to edit: open Delivery for the experience you want to edit.
  • Branding: emails inherit the experience logo, logo size, background image, and background color by default. Turn off Inherit from Experience to upload a separate email logo or background.
  • Email logo and background: use standard image uploads up to 10MB. The logo uses the same Small through Huge size presets, and the background image is rendered as a cover image.
  • Copy fields: subject line, from name, header text, body text, CTA button text, footer disclaimer, and BCC emails can be edited when email delivery is enabled.
  • Persona Quiz: persona quiz emails also support per-persona over title, header text, and body text.
  • Testing: use Send Test after finalizing copy and artwork, then review both mobile and desktop previews.

Outputs and QR signage

Use these notes when preparing signage or planning where output files can be used after the booth.

  • Digital Photo Booth photo output: camera captures, uploaded-photo previews, and finished composites export as JPG files. AI image output can vary by configured model settings.
  • QR code signage: download the final QR code from the Share dialog after the experience is published and tested, then place it into the current signage artwork for print or digital screens.
  • Printed signage: keep the QR code large enough for the scan distance and leave quiet space around it so phone cameras can focus.
    Example QR code signage layout
Keep QR codes large, high contrast, and surrounded by enough quiet space for scanning.

Tips

  • If a dashboard field gives a stricter file type or size than this article, use the dashboard field requirement.
  • Avoid exporting tiny images and scaling them up in the browser. Start from the target aspect ratio and long-edge size for the cleanest result.
  • Run at least one test submission after uploading final artwork, then check the booth, recipient gallery, email, display, and QR signage together.
