QR codes are only useful when the destination, label, size, and placement are correct. Download codes after publishing and testing the final destination, then label them clearly for staff and guests.

Steps

  1. 1Decide whether the sign should open the booth, a display, or a post-event sharing surface.
  2. 2Download the QR code from the experience Share dialog if guests should open the booth, or from the display card Share dialog if guests should open a viewing page.
  3. 3Label the sign with the experience name, event date, and guest-facing instruction.
  4. 4Print or place the QR code large enough for the expected scan distance.
  5. 5Scan the final printed or displayed code with a phone that is not signed into the dashboard.
  6. 6Keep an updated digital copy available in case signage needs to be reprinted.

What to know

  • The booth QR code starts a capture flow. A display QR code opens a viewing surface. Sending guests to the wrong one can make the experience feel broken even when both links work.
  • Avoid printing QR codes before the event team has approved the final destination. Reusing a code from a previous event is one of the easiest ways to send guests to stale content.

Tips

  • Add a short written URL or staff fallback instruction when the event network is unreliable.
  • For table tents, test scanning at the actual table height and lighting.
  • For large screens, leave enough quiet space around the QR code so phone cameras can focus.
