Social Sharing Capabilities
What each share action does, and which platforms need guests to save the photo before posting.
Design and Customization
Written forMarketing teamsGuests share from their personal recipient gallery, reached by scanning the QR code at the booth or tapping the button in their result email. What happens next depends on the platform they pick and whether they are on a phone or a computer.
How sharing works
Where sharing happens
- The recipient gallery is the personal page each guest gets for their own results. Its Share button opens the full share sheet, and its Download button saves the file.
- Public displays like galleries and slideshows are for browsing. Their share option sends or copies a link to the photo page instead of posting to social platforms.
- On phones, most share options hand the actual photo to the chosen app through the phone's built-in share sheet, so guests post the image itself. On computers, platforms open their own web composer instead.
What each sharing and download control does
Sharing and download controls in the gallery, grouped by how they behave. Each one can be turned on or off per experience in the Sharing tab.
Slack

- Phone: the share sheet hands the photo straight to the Slack app.
- Computer: copies your share message and the gallery link, then opens Slack so the guest can paste them into any conversation.

Save the photo first
- Instagram does not allow posting from a web page. This is a platform rule, not a Snapbar setting.
- Phone: opens the phone's native share flow.
- Computer: the button appears and downloads the photo or video so the guest can upload it manually inside Instagram.
TikTok

Always available
- Opens the guest's mail app with the gallery link, on any device.
Always available
- Copies the guest's private gallery link so they can paste it anywhere.
Download
Always available
- The Download button sits next to the share options and saves the photo or video to the device. On iPhone this uses Save to Photos.
What to know
- The share message is a single caption used across every platform that accepts one. Keep it short, and include your event hashtag if you have one.
- Sharing always uses the guest's private gallery link, not the public display gallery, so recipients land on the guest's own results.
- Social platforms change their sharing rules often, so the exact behavior behind a platform button can shift over time.
Tips
- Test the share sheet from a real phone with a real test submission, since computers show a different set of options.
- If Instagram matters for your event, brief booth staff to coach guests: save the photo, then upload it in the app.
- Turn off platforms your audience does not use so the share sheet stays focused.
